MEMBERSHIP
The Massachusetts Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors' & Armorers' Association offers two levels of membership: ACTIVE and ASSOCIATE.
ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP
ACTIVE membership is open to any duly sworn full time, part time and volunteer law enforcement officer of any duly constituted local, county, state, federal or specialized law enforcement or criminal justice agency within the United States of America whose official duties include training of other law enforcement personnel in the proper use of law enforcement firearms, or maintenance and repair of law enforcement firearms for their respective agencies.
Upon retirement members have a choice of "RETIRED" or "LIFE" membership.
RETIRED members are those who wish to stay active with instructing and the day to day running of the Association. They continue to pay dues and are eligible to hold elected office and vote.
LIFE members are exempt from dues. They may hold an appointed office however they may not vote at meetings and may not hold an elected office.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
ASSOCIATE membership is open to
a) Sworn law enforcement personnel from law enforcement agencies outside the United States of America whose official duties include training of other law enforcement personnel in the proper law enforcement use of firearms, or whose duties involve the maintenance and repair of law enforcement firearms for their respective agencies.
b) Non-sworn personnel working within law enforcement and criminal justice agencies within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts whose duties include firearms training and education
c) Representatives of private industry who are engaged in the design, development, manufacture or training in firearms, ammunition, and other related technologies designed for law enforcement use.
DUES
Dues for both Active and Associate membership is $35 per year, payable at time of application. Annual renewal payments are due and payable on or before June 30th of each year. Please insure your dues are sent to the address below and not to the old Brimfield, Princeton or Holliston addresses. RENEWAL DUES PAID AFTER SEPTEMBER 30th ARE $40 ($5 Late payment fee).
