On August 13, 2007, Brite-Strike Tactical Illumination Products conducted an impromptu test of the durability of their Blue Dot 2 cell light at a construction site in Duxbury, Mass.
Using a Volvo L70D front end loader with a stated operating weight of over 24,000 pounds, Brite-Strike ran over their light on an asphalt road with the loader. The light still worked fine after the test.
